Naturaly everything is simplified to uniform distribution, zero lead time, no interest, etc. Main idea is to compare cost of having stock vs. cost of loss sale. I believe comparing traditional push thinking vs global pull thinking would be more useful. I wish a study showing similarities between Lean Value Stream Mapping and TOC distribution solution.
