4.0 out of 5 stars Well constructed, my addition is a global concern., July 21, 2015
This is my first time to review "sustainability" issue. I have discovered that sustainability concept is far beyond my comprehension.
There are several institutions dealing with sustainability, they have different definitions, main idea is similar but each definition adds a different perspective, a different dimension to the concept.
There is a roadmap for those willing to implement it, well done.
I would like to mention a conflict of mine. Compared to 200 years ago World population has remarkably increased especialy in under developed and developing countries. Meanwhile energy consumption per individual has also remarkably increased especialy in developed countries. The result is a huge stress (roughly 200,000 times) on natural resources (also human resources). But developed countries are now forcing others to finance all these restoring activities by themselves which is unfair to me.
Yes, others boosted population but please remember that civilized western developed cultures are slowly dyeing (almosy negative birth rates), in other words developed countries do need that young population of others.
Yes, developed countries are consuming most of the energy and this energy and natural resources are mainly held by others.
In other words I believe that we need an international fund raised by developed countries for these precautions which are seriosly important for all of us in terms of survival.
