Mediocristan = Cost World, Extremistan = Throughput World. TOC lovers invited :)      Very good analysis. Popular and social interpretation. I have been in Mediocristan as Cost World, Old Paradigm. This is Newtonian Linear World. I am trying to switch to Extremistan as Throughput World, New Paradigm, Non-linear World. This is my TOC (Theory of Constraints) World. I have found a lot of good stuff to criticize "forecasting" and "optimization". It is a strong remainder for "keep away statistics if you are not familiar with it!"
