Improving Flow Through Production Leveling And Scheduling: Achieving Flexible And Smoothed Production (Operational Excellence Series Book 11)
Improving Flow Through Production Leveling And Scheduling: Achieving Flexible And Smoothed Production (Operational Excellence Series Book 11) / Kirov / 2015

4.0 out of 5 stars Leveling is fine but what if it is not possible to level? What if your business is not repetitive?, July 13, 2015
Limitations of lean production has been stated explicitly.
I have seen similarities with TOC in suggested solutions.
For example, having a resrved seat in schedule is reminding me either capacity buffer or protective capacity.
Another example is to scedule the Final Assembly only, which remainds scheduling constraint only.
I wish TOC had a descent volume in this book to complete the concept.
It is not easy to implement in various industries in a volatile economy.
Unfortunately it is still easy to find a reference book for lean compared to TOC.
Companies are still trying to keep their competitive advantage as closed as possible, hiding from rivals..
