very basic story, unfortunately no TOC reference was given, May 6, 2015  I have been involved with TOC for a while. I read the book and recognized Drum, Buffer, Rope, 9 Layers of Resistance, local vs global measures, ... as expected no one of them tagged as Theory of Constraints concept. I suggest a DBR book like Manufacturing at Warp Speed or Supply Chain at Warp Speed for the interested readers. Then you would have a good understanding of Why to change? What to change? What to change to? How to cause the change? How to sustain? which are all basic TOC questions.
